Where to look?
Having started my new job a week ago, I now find myself commuting by train. Its only a short journey (4 stops, 5-10 minutes), so its not really long enough to do much of anything like read a book or something. So I find myself just sitting there looking around. Problem is where do you look. Do you gawk at people, who may or may not think you're staring and start wondering if they remembered to put pants on before leaving the house?
Its pretty boring looking anywhere else - the scenery outside doesn't change. I suppose I need to get an I-Pod or MP3 player or some such so I can become one of the drones lost in their own little world, but I reckon I'd still be wanting to look around. If I had the dough I'd just get a PSP or something.
On another front - I'm still undefeated after 3 games in SWL Conference play this season - all games having been against team larger than mine, about 20 TR in the first instance and about 50 in the other two, so I'm well chuffed with that. There's only one team left to face thats a lot bigger, and they are the only other undefeated team. I'm looking good to make it to Premier next season at the moment, which would be itneresting as I would once again be the midget team.
Eucalyptus Bowl is looking the goods now - we have 23 paid up entries, and I reckon with people who've yet to pay and people who rock up on the day we may well get over 30 - here's hoping!

I feel your pain. At least your ride is an all stations service which means that you're not squashed in like a friggen sardine like I am daily. You are right though, the scenery in the carriage is very drab and boring.
I'd love a PSP myself (they look awesome!) but I usually just print off some thread on TBB or something and read that on the train ride home instead - or play a quick game on my mobile phone.
You've still gotta play me yet... ;)
Eucbowl is looking great!
